Monitoring Questionnaire Results

Your client will be prompted to answer a series of questionnaires throughout their eTherapy.

You will have access to the answers from your clients' questionnaires through your dashboard, and should review these regularly to evaluate treatment progress and inform treatment planning.

The results from these questionnaires will give you an idea about your client’s engagement in eating

disorder behaviours, eating disorder symptoms, psychological distress and quality of life. This can be

useful information to explore further with your client in your role as their ‘guide’.

The following outcomes are measured through the program:

  • Eating disorder behaviours - frequency of objective binge eating episodes, frequency of objective

overeating episodes, objective binge episode days, self-induced vomiting, laxative use and driven

exercise, measured by The Eating Disorder Examination Questionnaire (EDE-Q).

  • Eating disorder symptoms – restraint (restrictive eating and dieting), eating concern, shape

concern, weight concern, measured by The Eating Disorder Examination Questionnaire (EDE-Q),

and binge eating, measured by the Binge Eating Scale (BES).

  • Psychological distress – level of psychological distress measured by The Kessler Psychological

    Distress scale (K10).

Deliberate self harm and suicide – risk of deliberate self harm and suicide is measured using a

    question from the Patient Health Questionnaire (PHQ-9);

    • Your client will be prompted to answer the following question: ‘Over the last 2 weeks, how

often have you been bothered by thoughts that you would be better off dead or of hurting

      yourself in some way’.

    • If they score >0 on this question, they will receive an email with crisis information

(including numbers to call) and links to additional supports.

    • As their health professional, you will receive an email to notify you of this, and their result

will be flagged on your dashboard.
